Awards and Scholarships

In 2016 the Institute of Health Economics (IHE), in partnership with health economists from the Universities of Alberta and Calgary, and Alberta Health, developed the NOAHE Graduate and NOAHE Scholar Awards to build health economics capacity by bringing together aspiring health economists with policy leaders and researchers from academic, non-profit, and governmental sectors.

NOAHE Graduate Awards (Internships)

The NOAHE Internship provides successful recipients studying at the masters degree level opportunities to gain practice-based experience working on either their own project of interest, and/or on projects identified by program sponsors as Alberta Health priorities. This opportunity is complemented by the mentorship of an academic supervisor from the University of Alberta or Calgary, a co-supervisor from IHE, and a sponsor at Alberta Health.


NOAHE Scholar Awards (Fellowships)

The NOAHE Fellowship provides who have recently completed or are soon to complete PhD studies opportunities for successful recipients to gain practice-based experience working on either their own project of interest, and/or on projects identified by program sponsors as Alberta Health priorities. This opportunity is complemented by the mentorship of an academic supervisor from the University of Alberta or Calgary, a co-supervisor from IHE, and a sponsor at Alberta Health.
