NOAHE Thesis Throwdown - December 2018

3 December 2018
Edmonton, Alberta

The inaugural NOAHE Thesis Throwdown was held on December 3rd, 2018 in collaboration with the Institute of Health Economics, the University of Alberta, and the University of Calgary (the O’Brien Institute for Public Health and the School of Public Policy)

The NOAHE Thesis Throwdown seeks to promote discourse related to health economics research, while encouraging collaboration and creating improved networking opportunities for students in a casual, stress-free environment. This event complemented the 3-day “Introduction to Applied Health Economic Modelling” course taught by the IHE’s Health Economics team, and highlighted NOAHE award recipients’ and UAlberta/UCalgary graduate students’ research. Participants had between 5 and 15 minutes to explain their research projects to a non-specialist audience, in a format similar to 3MT.
