AHESG 2023

The Alberta Health Economics Study Group (AHESG) brings together Alberta-based health economists for a day of lively discussion with a focus on the research of students and early-career researchers. This event provides an excellent opportunity for students to present work to senior researchers, enjoy dinner and networking with other students, researchers, and faculty, and it looks great on a CV. The AHESG welcomes people from all backgrounds with an interest in Health Economics!

The objective of AHESG meetings is to promote a study group atmosphere despite large numbers. All papers are pre-circulated and discussed in 45-minute sessions using discussants rather than author presentations.

AHESG attendees are offered the following free of charge:

  • Networking event on October 4, 2023.
  • All day meeting, including keynote address on October 5, 2023.
  • Lunch, and refreshments during the seminar
  • Hotel accommodation (1 night)
  • Round trip charter bus from Calgary to Edmonton for attendees travelling from Calgary.
